Are the drivers wearing Crash helmets?

Good morning Carrera fans,

Will you all be watching racing all weekend like me? It's Le Mans' 24 hours and Formula 1 at Montreal.

I have a question about the 2 new racing cars for exclusiv, the Jaguar and the Ferrari. I can't see on the pictures at www.carrera-toys.de if the drivers are wearing helmets. In my opinion if you make a race model of a car the driver should be ajusted to racing as well, so wearing a helmet. I think it would be rather stupid to have the same driver in the street model and in the racing model. But I just can't see proparly so maybe one of you guys can help me out.

And if the driver doesn't wear a helmet would it be an idea for Carrera to make two versions, one with a "racing" driver? Or the possibility to change the inner part of the car or just the drivers head?

Another thing I wanted to ask your opinion about is the number on the new C6, the Nurnburgring 66 one. It has starting number 15. But there's allready a C6 with this starting number although an old one. Now I cannot drive with 4 standard c6 cars because of double numbers, in real life you don't see this as well. So maybe the car can be produced with number 16 as well?

As all of you I am waiting for the C6 bodies so I can paint them in all the nice colors we have seen in the past but still I would like to have the four standard C6 cars now available with unique numbers. I think Carrera missed a good chance here, do you agree or not?

Happy racing weekend,
let's hope Audi will win Le Mans and the Dutch team will be second!

Moin Henk,

the No. 15 was the original No. of the 1966-Car with the Red-Decals,

the No. 16 was from the green one ... we hope to get next icon_wink.gif

I´m also waiting for the white-bodies doing a starterfield of my own.

all the best

Hello CarreraHenk,
both the Jag and the Ferrari will feature drivers with helmet, when produced in race-livery.
Pre-jet-helmet era Polo-helmets)
Regarding the Carrera 6's starting-number, please be patient until I'm back in the office!

And for Le Mans: Go, Zytek, go! And Barron Connor, of course...

@all,

Hi guys, thanks for the reactions. I realize that one wants to be historically correct so the 15 is the right number for the new C6. But this makes the "original" C6, which came in the old exclusiv starting sets together with the beautifull Dino, obsolete. One cannot have two almost the same standard cars with the same number. In my opinion this only means that Carrera owns us another C6 to complete the four different ones, four because not many of us will have a six lane track at home but a four lane track is quite common as we all can see on Steve's picture. And Carrera made lots of "fours", like the Panoz, Porsche GT1, Audi R8. So I dare Carrera to bring us another C6 (the green one?!) before end of the year. Maybe as a limited edition? Anyway I think that's the only solution. So there will be the white with red hood, the red one, the blue one and the white with green hood one, all with different startting numbers. And this also solves the problem that the "original" one isn't fitted with the new technique so we don't have to change that. Well carrera what are we waiting for, make us happy!

Greatz,

Henk

Ps I am from Holland and I wish you all a very nice game tomorrow evening. May the best team win and lets redo the game in the final.

I'm pretty sure that we'll see a C6 as LE. Another way could be that Carrera releases another car which can't be found in this year's catalogue.

And for the game tomorrow: good luck to both teams!
